New beer recipes aren't just hatched over drinks from the casual musings of our founder or our brewmaster. Just kidding – they totally are. Oh, Ed and Paul take requests – from colleagues, or by popular demand, and occasionally even from the folks in the Big Rock building across the parking lot – but at the end of the day, when these two get fixing to make a particular beer, that's what they make. 

And isn't that just our good luck? Most of Big Rock's most beloved beers once looked, on paper, like terrible ideas, and ended up tasting like genius.

That shiny copper contraption in the photos is where it happens. It's the Big Rock LaBeeratory, where Paul can play with new ingredients, experiment with recipes and try out brewing methods new and (mostly) old.

What would you give for a sip of newly minted beer? A few bucks at your local specialty pub ought to do you for a pint -– you just need to find an establishment that serves the Big Rock Brewmaster's
