The rolling hills of Longview, Alberta have been home to production of the first Alberta indigenous period western feature film; "Western Confidential" reunites Dave Lawrence and Paul Spence (Terry and Dean of "Fubar") in a script they both wrote. The project is Lawrence's directorial debut.

About the movie: The story takes place in 1880 Alberta and follows Luther Giddings (Spence) and his estranged half-brother William Turner (Lawrence), who find themselves on the run from a greedy buffalo baron named Clarence Cale (Dennis Cahill).

The two men, accompanied by a rare white buffalo, which Luther believes has tremendous spiritual significance, undertake a sacred mission to return the animal to the plains Indians. With no way back and a single horse between the two of them, William has no choice but to follow his crazy half-brother on his outrageous quest.

In addition to Lawrence, Spence and Cahill, "Western Confidential" features Dakota House as well as a substantial number of Calgary's Loose Moose Theatre troupe.

Big Rock was happy to supply some of its finest for the cast and crew. Cheers!
