Three highlights from the Ottawa Folk Fest thus far:

  1. You can walk around almost anywhere with your beer (the whole place is one big beer tent)
  2. Arrogant Worms displayed classic Canadian humour on the main stage (If I were Prime Minster, I would use my power to (finally) make the donut out official flower)
  3. Britney Spears and her entourage were also staying at the Brookstreet Hotel…

(On side note we were also featured in the Ottawa Folk Fest program!) Check out our Facebook updates where we have a few video postings… Stay tuned for more!

We spoke with Bryn before she and Claire leave for the Ottawa Folk Festival and this is what she had to say, ”I’m excited for our ‘last hurrah’ to be in Ottawa. Looking forward to seeing some old friends (like Nick from the Woodchoppers Association), as well as catching some new acts. Oh, and the kettle corn, of course.”

We’ve chatted about the fact that this summer gig is coming to an end and — while it is not over yet — the girls are definitely feeling nostalgic.

Here’s a look back at the girls festival tour: First they hit Winnipeg Folk Fest, then Yellowknife Folk on the Rocks, on to Calgary Folk Fest and then Edmonton (their hometown).

Here is a great example of the emails we get – this one made us smile!

I took this photo this summer during the heat wave we experienced up here this summer, in Dawson City, Yukon…  the best way to cool down was to wade in the icy rock creek beds of the Klondike River – with an iced cold Rock Creek Cider!
Thanks,
Heidi

Renato’s adventures brought him to the brewery. He took a tour with Al and the crew, then enjoyed (like REALLY enjoyed) the beer tasting afterwards.
