UDDERLY EXCITED ABOUT THE CALGARY FOLK FESTIVAL

Submitted by Big Rock Brewery on July 22, 2009

I know, that's a very corn fed headline, but I really wanted to milk the whole cow thing for this blog. Sorry.

calgary-folk-festival-logo1The Calgary Folk Fest starts tomorrow and around the brewery we are all getting quite excited about getting down to Princess Island to take it all in. As you may or may not know the logo that the festival has been using for some time is that of a cow.

Since we have a cow that we purchased from a fundraiser a number of years ago standing in our lobby we felt it

was only fitting that we bring our little Heiferweizen down to the festival so she can chew on some island grass and catch a few tunes. Heiferweizen is actually a very responsible cow and will make sure you take care of yourself while you are down there.

Notice the resemblance between Heifer and Folkie the cow

Here are some shots of our little Heifer making the trip down to the island. If you get a chance stop by the Big Rock beer garden and chew the cud.

Get me off the truck, I see some barley
